"These are very reassuring gloves, thanks to their hard knuckle armour, the hard plastic cuff and the high-scoring wrist restraint. The abrasion test score is above average, helped by a clever palm design, although the seam strength result leaves room for improvement. That big, stiff cuff isn't ideally suited to all types of sleeve, but once you've got them on and worn them in these gloves are supple and comfortable, and give good feel." VERDICT: 19/50 points
