PROCYCLE Air-Cooled Mineral Engine Oil 4 Stroke SAE 50

Item Code: 10038506D

PROCYCLE Air-Cooled Mineral Engine Oil 4 Stroke SAE 50

• 4 stroke engine oil
• Mineral oil based formulation
• Optimised for air-cooled and classic engines
• Prolongs the life of your motorcycle engine

This mineral oil based motorcycle engine oil is optimised for the seals, metal finishes and oil filter systems used in classic motorcycles and Harley Davidson motorcycles pre-1984. The specialist formulation and additives ensure that this motorcycle oil covers off the broad range of operating temperatures found in air cooled engines and works optimally with the manufacturer components of classic engines.

This motorcycle engine oil performs best in ambient temperatures from 15deg to 38deg C and conforms to the following norm: API SF-CC.

The key norms and what they mean:

API - American Petrol Institute
Used since approx. 1941. The S-classification refers to combustion engines and the second letter denotes the quality. From 1980 standard SF applied, from 88 SG, from 93 SH, and from 96 SJ. The addition of "/ CF" denotes that the oil has been tested using high performance reference engines. The API classification for 2 stroke engines is no longer in common use.

ACEA - European engine oil classification
Valid since 1996, classes A1-A3 denote oils for petrol engines, B1-B4 those for diesel engines. Higher numbers denote better test performance.

JASO - Japanese engine oil classification
The Jaso T 903 is currently the most important classification for 4 stroke engine oils, which covers performance within the main engine parts but also auxiliary areas such as the clutch. Suffixes MA and MB inform on slip resistance, whereby MA provides a higher slip resistance factor.

Viscosity (SAE)
This norm describes the range of temperatures in which the engine oil will perform. In general, the smaller the integer with the W (Winter), the better the oil will continue to flow in cold temperatures. The larger the number without a letter, the better the oil will maintain lubrication in high temperature situations.

Safety Notices

No particular safety notices required for this product. Careful use and application requires no particular pre-cautions. It is recommended that safety gloves and goggles are worn.
• Always follow the vehicle manufacturer recommendations when adding or exchanging engine oil.
• Only store engine oil in the original container and ensure the lid remains airtight.
• After use, do not use this container for other fluids and do not refill.
• Most oil systems need a refill at least once a year.

First Aid: Avoid contact with eyes. If contact with the eyes occurs, rinse eyes under running water for several minutes, seek medical advice if problems persist. If taken internally, drink copious amounts of water, seek medical advice if problems persist.

Usage instructions: Follow your vehicle manufacturer maintenance handbook. Never overfill your system with oil and ensure that the viscosity range of the oil you use matches that required for your motorcycle.
