What do you do when it is chucking down? Good for you if you carry that proven solution with you, a rain suit. But not every rain suit does what it is designed for.
Motorrad magazine tested 14 suits in edition 04/2005, to ensure you can make the right choice and always arrive dry at your destination.
Motorrad magazine's verdict and test results on the PROOF rain suit were as follows:
Comfort: The diagonal entry opened wide for ease of use. Thanks to the full internal lining it can also be worn over damp leather.
Overall experience: A substantial rain suit, with well proportioned arm and leg lengths.
Water blocking protection: Waterproof
Result: "This is the value ace of the suits tested with an impressive equipment level including a soft-padded collar and a full inside lining. Very good water protection. The off-centre labyrinth closure panel is particularly easy and fast to do up."
The magazine Tourenfahrer edition 04/2004 tested various rain suits. Its verdict on the PROOF rain suit:
"Stay dry for not a lot of money ... provides the definitive overall rain solution in this comparison test."
What does a scooter rider hope for? That the rain suit they've got stored under their seat is still waterproof when they need it.
A rain suit must be waterproof, easy and fast to put on, well fitting, and most of all this should all be available at a reasonable price.
The magazine Motoretta edition 01/2005 tested nine rain suits and a top end driving suit. Their verdict for the Proof rain suit reads:
"Amazing value and water protection."
Rider comfort: Easy to put on thanks to the full internal lining, good comfort for the wearer with sufficient room to move.
Water protection: Water proof test passed.
