Chris Frankland, Journalist for the BMF magazine MOTORCYLE RIDER tested the VANUCCI Ventus III for 6 months in all weathers, his verdict reads:
"The Vanucci Ventus III is a masterful piece of design. It confused me at first, but as I understood it and got used to it, it all made perfect sense.
The Ventus III comes in three parts that all zip together. The outer layer is showerproof fabric with removable armour. It has two zipped breast vents and one on the back. There are four external pockets, two small breast pockets that aren't waterproof and two larger hip pockets that are. There is also an internal pocket. I wore this outer skin throughout the summer and with the vents open it stayed beautifully cool even on the hottest days - and I'm talking those 90 degree days!
Inside the outer skin, you can zip in a waterproof breathable layer. With this in you can brave the elements with confidence and I never had it let any water in during my time testing it. And if the day brightens up, just zip it out and roll it up with your overtrousers.
For the coldest weather, there is a zip-in quilted thermal liner. This is handy for winter and keeps you nice and snug. And the Ventus III does all this while be no bulkier than single-piece jackets that are too hot in the summertime.
I grew to love the Ventus III. It has a good collar fastening, you can get your glove inside the cuff gussets to prevent water running down inside them and it is stylish and comfortable. It really is an all-weather jacket you can have confidence in. I highly recommend it and at £249.99, it is reasonably priced."

MOTORRAD MAGAZINE (edition 1/2006)
13 ALLSEASON motorcycle jackets were put under the magnifying glass to find out which ones could go through the whole year, January to December, without a problem?
The Vanucci Ventus III textile jacket and trousers were awarded a MO-TIPP certificate (Best Buy Award), the judges comments were:
AGAINST COLD WEATHER: Performed very well. Waterproof due to a Sympatex climate membrane in a z-liner-design. This is combined with a highly effective padded, removable and zippable thermal liner from DuPont. Double front zip closure with push down button fastening.
AGAINST THE HEAT: Effective. Completely removable climate membrane and liners in both the jacket and trousers combined with ventilation zippers in the jacket and trousers makes hot summer touring routes comfortable to ride.
RESULT: A solid combination with equipment levels worth checking out. High-quality Sympatex climate membrane combined with an effective thermal liner for cold days. Other useful features include rubberized inner trouser hems, which prevent the trousers riding up. The styling is classic with a modern twist.
In the test: 13 textile combinations were tested
Result: Only 5 were awarded the MO-TIPP ALLSEASON award
The magazine Touren Fahrer (edition10/2006) went searching for the ultimate motorcycle clothing that was suited to all year round use.
Their judgement for the Vanucci Ventus III textile jacket and trousers was:
"Climate membrane and thermal linings are removable from the jacket and trousers.
Air vent zippers and rubberised adjustment bands with buttons on the sleeves and legs are easy to use.
Likewise putting it on and taking it off is no problem. The manufacturing quality is good and it is equipped with lots of useful features."
The mopped judgement reads:
GOOD result : "Due to it's snug fitting armour protectors, the waterproof Ventus III is very comfortable... With few reservations this is a (colourful) recommendation for all touring bikers."
