EU certified for roadworthiness

Increasingly, vehicle accessories are equipped with a European operating license (also known as "E"-Certificate). The "E"-Certificate is an alpha-numeric code that is marked clearly on the equipment item and shows the extent of the test conducted, the member country in which the test has been carried out and the vehicle group for which the certificate applies (e.g. for indicators this means "all motorcycles").

This certificate has been implemented in the local regulations of all member states. The roadworthiness of the item is proven simply through the visible "E"-Certificate code and requires no further documentation. For newer motorcycles that are "E"-Certificated by the manufacturer, it is advisable to replace original equipment only with "E"-Certificated accessories.
