• Waterproof motorcycle boots with Gore-Tex membrane for touring • CE certified with TPU external ankle reinforcements for protection • Breathable perforated microfibre & comfortable soft joint pads
Construction and comfort. This is an upgrade of the original Nighthawk boots, the Nighthawk D1 Gore-Tex Lows. They are mid-height motorcycle touring boots with features that make them perfect for touring in any weather. They are constructed of perforated microfibre for a leather look but with extra abrasion resistance. The perforations make sure that your feet can breathe in warmer weather to prevent them sweating and becoming distractingly uncomfortable. They also have a breathable waterproof Gore-Tex membrane inside to ensure your feet don't get soaked in the rain.
Safety and support. The weatherproofing does not mean that protection has been compromised. The Nighthawk D1 Lows have external TPU ankle reinforcements to prevent unnatural movement of the ankle in an accident, and there is a thermoformed insert at the shin which reduces the impact felt from debris that could get flicked up as you ride. The entire boot is certified to CE standards and each has rigid inserts in the ankle. A TPU gear shift pad at the toes reduces wear on the boots, prolonging their useful life. Reflective inserts make you easier to see in poor light, and a rubber sole helps with grip on the pegs and the pavement. The zip closure has a Velcro panel that secures over the top of it, and a beautifully stitched Italian flag sits on the outside of the Velcro panel to show off the Nighthawk's roots.

The GetGeared team reviews pretty much all the motorcycle boots out there. From Alpinestars race boots to entry-level touring boots. When deciding which motorcycle boots to stock, we consider the same attributes you do. Are they waterproof? Are they vented? What level of protection do they have, pound-for-pound? That's how we develop our extensive range of biker boots. Choose from short ankle motorcycle boots, motorcycle shoes, boots for adventure riders and more.
Not all those considerations are to do with styling. When the first motorcycle shoes and ankle boots launched, they lacked protection. No ankle armour pads, no toe box. And that is our job: to choose motorbike boots where we can tell you honestly that they will do what you need them to do. That is a question of protection, function, price and looks – all that together makes a great set of motorcycle boots for you. And we love it and hope that you enjoy the motorcycle boot selection we made this year!
