Armoured heat! The XR-12 are comfortable heated gloves with protective knuckle and finger armour. Made from soft, supple drum-dyed full aniline leather, they fit exceptionally well. Heat is provided along the entire length of each finger, including the thumbs, as well as to the back of the hand. The heating elements power up within seconds of plugging the gloves in. The design is functional and very stylish for a light, but strong, pliable glove. Due to the use of Stainless Steel heating wire, these heated gloves are the most durable gloves in the world!
Hybrid heat = Flexibility! These heated gloves are called 'Hybrid' because they can be powered from the motorcycle battery OR a set of portable batteries that fit snugly into the cuff. An inline Junior temperature controller is included to adjust the heat level and a wire harness for the vehicle battery is in the pack too. A pack of two rechargeable portable batteries and a charger is available separately. As with all Gerbing heated products, there is a lifetime warranty on the heating element.

Actual run time may vary depending on ambient temperature. Battery capacity decreases in very cold weather, especially if the battery is not insulated & is left exposed to the elements. At less than 0 degrees Celsius, a battery may only produce 80% of its capacity.
It is very important to understand that these 12 volt products are designed to keep you warm in the most extreme cold situations. Therefore it is very important to check your skin regularly when using these products in warmer weather conditions. The 12 volt products will feel warmer when the temperature is rising & it might cause burns. Our advice is to use a temperature controller at all times. An outside temperature of 5 degrees Celsius & lower is the ideal temperature for these heated products. Remember; heat is very personal.
Daily all year round commuter. Approx 30-40 minutes each way. 30-60mph mix. Temps down to -5c 23f deg.
Only using with Portable Lithium Batteries. Three temperature settings and off. I use these on 50% setting. No need for the highest setting. While they don’t make my hand hot ( and wouldn’t want them to ) they definitely stop them getting cold. I have not run them till the battery runs out yet, but they last both legs of my commute. Battery option makes these quite expensive, but still worth it in my opinion.
They are a little bulky but then most full winter gloves are. I have not tried to wear them under my jacket, but they certainly fit over my cuffs easily. Manufacturers sizing by the way worked perfect for me. Very comfortable to wear. No rain ingress. All features work well for me. I’m pretty damn happy, and as long as I get a long life out of them I’ll stay that way. , 11/1/2017 20:55
Best heated gloves so far, but one slight niggle
As a sufferer of the cold I have spent a fortune on gloves looking for a pair that would make my hands feel warm, not just keep them from going yellow (Reynaud's Syndrome). Finally I have. These gloves are really warm, not just at the finger tips but around the whole hand.
Tip: have about 4 inches of cable from the "junior" temperature controller sticking out from the end of your jacket sleeves to make it easy to connect to the gloves. And here lies the problem. The cables from the controller are too short. After some experimentation I used the longer of the two cables down the left arm (controller on the left of the jacket) and extended the shorter one with another cable to the right arm. This allowed me to use safety pins to hold the cables in place around the edge of the jacket. The gloves are very nicely made and only took a couple of rides to soften up. There’s a bit of rolling up under the palm as in most winter gloves. There’s a lifetime warranty on the heating element. , 24/11/2016 19:43
Cold Hands? You NEED these!
As a year-round biker, my hands were like blocks of ice in winter months on the daily commute. I've tried everything - under gloves, heated grips, silk liners, muffs but nothing really worked for me. I took the plunge and splashed out on these gloves in the vain hope things would be different and by golly, they are! Fitting the harness took me 20 mins max (and I usually shy away from any sort of mechanical work). The remote control is a doddle to control, even fully gloved on the move. My only minor niggle is that it toggles the power levels in reverse to how I'd prefer it. Once connected up to the harness, the amount of heat these gloves produce is unreal! I rarely go above 25% power except on mega cold frosty days and the gentle warmth across your entire hand makes you feel like you're riding in summer. A lot of cash but most definitely well worth the money if you're struggling with numb hands in the winter months. , 11/1/2017 20:52
Omg purchased these in winter and my hands have never felt warmer. Even without turning on the heat this is a great winter glove. Was going to purchase the battery pack, but got used to the wired route. Definitely recommend 365 rider. , 27/3/2017 0:46
