Seriously warm heated vest from KEIS, is developed for the depth of Winter. Strategically positioned heat panels on the chest, kidneys and collar area provide serious warmth, and the vest incorporates integrated power sockets specifically to power Keis heated inner gloves.
This breathable, lightweight soft shell vest provides a perfect fit for men and women due to its elasticated side panels. It has dedicated zipped pockets for cables and controller, to keep things tidy and easy to find.
Current Draw 3.3A. Typical Power 40W. To facilitate the heated inner gloves connection you require two glove connection leads: Code KSW54370100. However you can still power your gloves separately with the Y lead provided.
Not suitable for use with Li-Ion Battery Packs; can only be powered from the motorcycle battery.
Due to the elasticated side panels you may find you need to order a chest size smaller for a snug fit.
PREPARING A VEHICLE TO POWER YOUR KEIS GARMENT
Your Keis Heated Jacket is designed to be powered from a 12V source such as a vehicle battery. Because of the current requirement flow capacity portable batteries are generally unsuitable. Attach the Fused Connection Lead directly to the vehicle battery or other live 12V source taking into account any safety notices issued by the vehicle manufacturer & observing the polarity Red +ve & Black -ve.
Position the output of the Fused Connection Lead so it is in a convenient position to power your garment & secure if necessary using cable ties or tape ensuring that it cannot interfere with the normal operation of the vehicle.
POWERING YOUR KEIS HEATED JACKET FROM A VEHICLE POWER SOURCE
Your Keis Heated Jacket must be powered from the vehicle battery via the Fused Connection Lead as installed above or the optional Cigarette Lighter/Accessory Plug. To operate simply connect & disconnect the Jacket to & from the power source as required. For more control we recommend the use of the On/Off Switch or Heavy Duty Heat Controller
USING THE DEDICATED CONTROLLER POCKET
Open the Controller Pocket & locate the plug. This is the Jacket's Power Input. Connect this to the socket on the controller. Open the Controller Supply Lead Pocket on the inside of the Jacket & pass the supply plug of the controller through the hole in the lining into the inside of the Controller Supply lead Pocket where it can be conveniently stored when not in use.
POWERING ACCESSORIES VIA YOUR KEIS HEATED JACKET
Your Keis Heated Jacket had dedicated power outputs for Gloves & Insoles. To operate simply plug in! When using the optional On/Off switch or Heat Controller please note that these devices will control all your heated accessories at the same time!
CARE OF YOUR KEIS HEATED
If necessary hand wash at 30ÁC & drip dry only.
Do not tumble dry or wring.
Do not iron. Do not bleach.
Do not operate until completely dry.
Do not dispose of electrical equipment with standard domestic waste. Contact your local authority for information specific to your area.
This electrically heated garment must be used strictly in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Failure to observe this notice may lead to increased risk of burns & fire resulting in injury or death.
Do not use the jacket when wet. If it becomes wet in use disconnect immediately.
Switch the garment off immediately & check the affected skin at any sign of irritation or sensation of excessive heat.
Always wear at least light clothing under the jacket. Do not wear directly against the skin.
Never leave the garment unattended when switched on.
This product is unsuitable for young children.
Do not use this product if you suffer from: heightened or impaired temperature sensitivity; an inability to sense temperature extremes; circulatory problems resulting from diabetes or other medical conditions.
Use this product with 12V systems ONLY.
Ensure replacement fuses are rated at 15A ONLY.
Do not modify or disassemble any part of the system in this garment.
