| How we use information about you |
We're committed to using your information only for:
- Dealing with orders and accounts for the supply of
our goods and services;
- Planning and managing GetGeared's business, including
understanding your preferences and buying habits better (and serving
them better);
- Providing you with offers and information,
but only if you've let us know that's what you want;
- Assessing your request for delivery of goods and services
from us where we may make enquiries about you including searching your
records held by organisations like Equifax and credit reference agencies.
At all times where we use or disclose your information, it'll remain
secure.
There are only three situations where we may share some of the information
about you with others:
- With agents acting on behalf of GetGeared - including
logistics services, credit card clearing agencies (Barclays Merchant
Services), credit reference agencies, marketing service providers (companies
that help us implement our marketing campaigns) and that we use
to process the orders you place with GetGeared and assist us in the
service and information we provide to you. In all these instances, we
provide them with the information they need, and only what they need,
and ensure that they operate to the same principles we hold;
- With outside research companies whom we may ask to
contact you directly for your opinions on our products and services
(and they will only receive the information that they need to perform
that task);
- In the unlikely event that our business assets are sold to another
company (our data records are part of our business).
